Create a fund and experience the impact your charitable giving will have on the issues you care about. The fund you establish can serve one purpose or many; it can support a general cause or a specific organization. It’s up to you.
Donor-Advised Fund Stay involved.
Make grant recommendations at your convenience to your favorite charities.
Field-of-Interest Fund Address issues.
Choose a topic of interest, a geographic place or a particular population to support.
Unrestricted Fund Think broadly.
Allow us to identify the most pressing needs and promising opportunities in our region and target your dollars where they can be most effective.
Scholarship Fund Promote personal growth.
Give the gift of education in a particular area of study or based on need or merit.
Agency Fund Support for my local nonprofit.
Nonprofit organizations establish these funds as part of their overall fundraising and investment strategies.
Designated Fund Provide ongoing support.
Specify one or more nonprofit organizations to receive grants from the fund you create - today or for perpetuity.
Giving Circles Give with others.
Pool your money, research community needs and decide as a group where to give grants. Several giving circles are operating currently at TCF. Contact us to join a giving circle or start one of your own.
Supporting Organization Reduce workload.
As an alternative to a private foundation, an affiliation with TCF can reduce administrative and regulatory burdens, and allow you to enjoy greater tax benefits. A supporting organization is a hybrid between a private foundation and a publicly supported charity. It is a separate incorporated entity with its own board of directors, but linked to TCF. The Foundation’s staff will assist with grantmaking, investment, and administration (supporting organizations must be valued at $1million or greater.)
