TCF makes it easy to establish a charitable fund that carries your name, commemorates a special event, supports a special project or honors a favorite organization, friend or family member. You can choose when and how to make gifts from your fund or you can rely on the Foundation to determine how to best make an impact in the community.

Meeting your charitable goals requires careful consideration, but establishing a fund at TCF is a simple process. Here are five questions to get you started.

Where do I start? A call to TCF will connect you with our staff who can help you think through all aspects of charitable giving. We can be reached at 919.474.8370. We’re also available to meet with you along with your estate attorney, CPA, or other financial advisor.

What are my goals? You may want a fund that can support a specific organization or a broad set of issues. Or you might want to introduce your children to charitable giving. We can help you figure this out and decide which type of fund may be the best fit.

When will I give? You might want to start giving immediately or incorporate charitable giving into your estate plans. Either way, we have the tools and expertise to help you achieve what you want to do, when you want to do it.

What will I give? You can contribute a wide variety of assets into a charitable fund at TCF, which then become available for grants that you can recommend anywhere in the world. We accept cash, stock, real estate, life insurance, or retirement plan assets.

What do I want to support? You might want to support community needs in the Triangle or nonprofits where you grew up. Whatever the issue or location, we can help you target the organizations and programs that help you make the most of your giving.
