Wording for Bequests, Trusts or Beneficiary Designations

The sample bequest, trust and designation language set out below is designed to permit the greatest flexibility and convenience to your client. Concurrent with or after the execution of the legal instruments which comprise the client’s estate or financial planning, Triangle Community Foundation staff will work with your client to outline their charitable intentions in a fund agreement which will be on record at our office and can be easily changed to reflect your client’s giving strategies.

Bequests

I give, devise, and bequeath to Triangle Community Foundation (the “Foundation”), a North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation, the sum of __________ Dollars and 00/100 ($_________ ) (or the property described herein, or the remainder of the property that I own at the time of my death, or a stated percentage or fraction of estate), for the purpose of creating a charitable fund (“Fund”) at the Foundation. The Fund shall be used for the charitable objectives and purposes set forth in the fund agreement executed by me with the Foundation and shall be administered by the Foundation in accordance with the charter and governing policies of the Foundation.

Trusts

Distribution of income or remainder interest in a charitable trust can be made to: Triangle Community Foundation (the “Foundation”), a North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation, located at 324 Blackwell Street, Durham, North Carolina 27701, for the purpose of creating (or contributing to) a charitable fund (“Fund”) at the Foundation to be used for the charitable objectives and purposes set forth in the fund agreement executed by me with the Foundation and administered by the Foundation in accordance with the charter and governing policies of the Foundation.

Beneficiary Designations

As Account Owner, I hereby designate the follow person(s) named below as beneficiaries to receive payment of the value of my account upon your death: Triangle Community Foundation, Share Percentage _______%, 324 Blackwell Street, Suite 1220, Durham NC 27701.
