Triangle Community Foundation is governed by a Board of 20 leading citizens (listed below). Board members serve a three-year term and can succeed themselves for one term. Members are elected by the Board under recommendations by a Board Nominating and Governance Committee chosen annually by the President. The Board invests and administers the Foundation’s funds with the assistance of the Finance Committee. The Philanthropic Services Committee oversees the grantmaking function.
The Foundation is also able to benefit from the expertise and advice of the Foundation Leadership Council - an advisory body composed of long-time supporters (most of them former Board chairs) who have elected to continue their service to the organization.
