Funding Community Needs
In addition to the nearly 700 donor-advised, field-of-interest, designated and agency funds, Triangle Community Foundation also manages funds established to serve the Foundation and the various programs it administers.

Give to Programs and Initiatives
Triangle Community Foundation Endowment
An endowment supporting the general annual costs of administering Triangle Community Foundation. This endowment enables the Foundation to cover programmatic expenses, events to benefit nonprofits, training and professional development for staff, and technology for the Foundation.

Send A Kid To Camp
Endowment funds support each of the four counties the Foundation serves and are used to fill funding needs not met by individual donors and fundholders. The Program gives the opportunity for hundreds of youth to attend summer camp each summer. Click here to sponsor a camper today.

Educational Assistance Fund

Triangle Community Foundation’s Educational Assistance Fund grants need-based scholarships to graduating seniors from public or private high schools in Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake counties. Scholarships are one-year awards for up to a maximum of $2,500 to cover the actual cost of tuition and fees for one academic year.

Community Grantmaking Program Fund
Launched in early 2007, the Community Grantmaking Program supports initiatives promoting Civic Engagement and Youth Leadership & Development. Grants are made from the Foundation’s unrestricted and field-of-interest endowments. Additionally, fundholders and donors may contribute directly to the Community Grantmaking Fund.
