Personalized investment oversight is one of the hallmarks of the Triangle Community Foundation fundholder experience. All funds are invested with the guidance of the Foundation's Finance Committee and Investment Advisory Committee, which are appointed by the Board of Directors. These committees set asset allocation, select professional managers and monitor performance. The Foundation's goal is to maximize the grantmaking capability of funds through reasonable investment returns without undue risk of significant capital depreciation.
The Foundation has adopted investment policies for both the Foundation's core investment portfolio as well as partnership portfolios. These policies establish the appropriate asset allocation and performance benchmarking for all fund types offered. Request more information regarding investment policies.

Investment activity includes interest income, dividend income, accrued income, realized and unrealized gains and losses, and investment management fees charged by the investment managers. Each investment pool is allocated its pro rata share of activity. The market value of your fund will include the principal together with accumulated investment activity of each portfolio in which your fund participates.
