- Achievement Scholarship for Refugees and Immigrants of Wake County
The Achievement Scholarship for Refugees and Immigrants of Wake County will provide financial awards for refugee and immigrant high school graduates who reside in Wake County to continue their education in a post-secondary setting.
- Alpha Delta General Excellence Scholarship
Annual scholarships awarded to promote leadership and academic excellence among members of the Alpha Delta Fraternity at UNC- Chapel Hill.
- Alpha Phi Alpha African- American Male Scholarship
An endowed scholarship created by the Beta Theta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity to encourage young African American men from Durham and Orange counties to excel academically and pursue a four-year college degree.
- Angello/Chesson Scholarship
The Angello/Chesson Scholarship is available for graduating seniors at Rocky Mount Senior High School who will be attending a college, university, or community college.
- Carol Ann Beerstecher Nursing Scholarship
Scholarships are available to Triangle students who have chosen a career in nursing and are pursuing education in an accredited pre-licensure program.
- Carolyn Lemmond Winchester Scholarship
The Carolyn Lemmond Winchester Scholarship will provide financial awards for graduating seniors from Brevard or Rosman High Schools in Transylvania County, North Carolina. Recipients will be selected based on their financial need, academic merit, and potential for success. Scholarships will be valued at $2,000 per year, renewable for up to four years for a total award of $8,000, and can be used at any accredited public university, community college, or trade school within the state of North Carolina.
- Charles Harrison Smith, III Scholarship
A scholarship available to graduating seniors from Apex High School who plan to attend a competitive university majoring in Engineering, Business or Math. Students are nominated by teachers at Apex High School.
- Donald Clarke-Pearson Runners’ Scholarship
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a senior varsity cross country or track athlete at East Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill High School, or Carrboro High School who has demonstrated the qualities of academic excellence, leadership, team spirit and dedication to running and who will be pursuing higher education after high school.
- Elizabeth Marie Roberts Scholarship
The Elizabeth Marie Roberts Scholarship will be valued at a minimum of $2,000 per year for up to four years and will provide financial awards for graduating seniors from Northern High School, Riverside High School, Voyager Academy, or Durham School of the Arts. Recipients will be selected based on their character, academic record, service to the community and financial need, with preference given to students residing in the township of Bahama and pursuing degrees in health-related fields. Scholarships can be used at any public state university or college in North Carolina, Watts School of Nursing, or Durham Technical Community College.
- Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship
The purpose of the Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship is to create a life-transforming opportunity for immigrant or first generation students who have overcome significant adversity and attended a Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools district high school, giving them the opportunity to pursue their dreams and improve their lives through education or training.
- George and Mary Newton Scholarship
A scholarship for young persons who have received or are expecting a high school degree or equivalent and whose parent or legal guardian is an employee of Newton Instrument Company in Butner, NC.
- George H. Hitchings New Investigator Award in Health Research
The George H. Hitchings New Investigator Award in Health Research will support pre-doctoral research in the health sciences with awards of $5,000 made to students working toward the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. The award will provide flexible support for research by students who have begun to consider a research career, as well as for research by students who are working toward a DVM/PhD.
- Gertrude B. Elion Mentored Medical Student Research Award
The Gertrude B. Elion Mentored Medical Student Research Awards support female medical students conducting research at Duke University Medical Center or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine who are interested in pursuing health-related research projects. Students must have an interest in health research, and must have the support of a faculty mentor. One student will be selected annually to receive an award in the amount of $10,000.
- GSK Opportunity Scholarship
Provides scholarship assistance to residents of Durham, Orange, or Wake Counties, who have overcome significant adversity.
- Hillside Class of ‘66 Alumni Scholarship
A scholarship created by the Alumni Class of 1966 to support a graduating high school senior from Hillside High School in Durham.
- iContact Foundation Scholarship
The iContact Foundation Scholarship Program of Triangle Community Foundation promotes educational advancement by offering competitive scholarship opportunities for persons employed by iContact at any time from its creation in 2003 through February 2012 and their children (biological, adopted, step, or foster). Scholarships are for full-time students pursuing a post-secondary undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate degree at any accredited college, university, community college, or trade school.
- Jason & Jessica Evans Memorial Scholarship
The Jason and Jessica Evans Memorial Scholarship is intended to honor the lives of Jason Evans and Jessica Evans by inspiring and supporting graduating seniors of Orange High School who exemplify the academic and personal excellence that Jason and Jessica demonstrated during their young lives. Individual awards will be valued at $1,000 per year, renewable for up to four years, for a total award of $4,000 per student.
- Jay Spence Memorial Scholarship
The Jay Spence Memorial Scholarship honors the memory of James “Jay” Edmund Spence, IV who lived from January 21, 1968 until August 13, 1985. The Scholarship provides financial awards for graduating seniors and alumni from Jordan-Matthews High School and Chatham Charter High School in Siler City, North Carolina. Scholarships are valued at $1,000 per year for up to four years, for a total award of $4,000.
- Kassel Smit Make A Difference Scholarship
A scholarship for students graduating from Cary High School who plan to attend a two or four year college or university.
- Kate Parks Kitchin Scholarship
A scholarship for graduates of Rocky Mount High School, established by the class of 1942.
- Mial Williamson Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship for graduating seniors from Needham Broughton High School who have been involved in athletics.
- Native American Health Education Fund
The Native American Health Education Fund provides financial aid to Native Americans who are pursuing careers in health related fields.
- Needham Broughton High School Alumni Association Scholarship
Available for graduating seniors from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC.
- North Carolina American Indian Fund Scholarship
The North Carolina American Indian Fund Scholarship will assist American Indian students in obtaining higher education by providing scholarships to selected applicants each year. Students pursuing a 2- or 4-year undergraduate degree as a full-time student will be eligible to receive up to $1,000 per year for up to four years to cover the costs of tuition, fees, and textbooks. There are no restrictions on area of study or geographic location of the school the student plans to attend.
- North Carolina Hispanic College Fund
Provides scholarships annually to recent graduates of North Carolina high schools who are of Hispanic/Latino background.
- North Carolina Jaycees Outstanding Teenager Scholarship
A scholarship for North Carolina high school seniors who are well rounded in the areas of scholarship, leadership, and community service.
- Ruby Ennis Maynard Scholarship
A scholarship for women from Onslow county, NC who have been out of the workforce and are returning to school in order to advance their education or work skills.
- Shaver-Hitchings Scholarship
A scholarship available to any graduate student, physician’s assistant, or medical student in the Triangle area who has worked (preferably as a volunteer) to help others with alcoholism, drug abuse and addictive disorder treatment or with preventive education on the subject of addiction
- Stacy Guess Outstanding Musician Scholarship
The Stacy Guess Outstanding Musician Scholarship is available for students who have participated in music department at Chapel Hill High School.
- Susan Ellis Roberts Scholarship
An annual scholarship for students from Wake County Public High schools who demonstrate a special talent in the visual or performing arts, leadership, teaching, entrepreneurship, or other creative gift.
- The Tomorrow Fund for Hispanic Students
The Tomorrow Fund for Hispanic Students provides college scholarships to immigrant Hispanic youth so they can become productive, well-educated members of our society. Students must be receiving financial aid directly from their college or university, and have a remaining unmet need gap of less than $15,000 in order to be eligible to apply.
- Umesh and Usha Gulati Scholarship
The Usha and Umesh Gulati scholarship will provide $1,000 scholarships to one graduating senior from each of the following high schools in Durham: Hillside High School, Northern High School, Riverside High School, Southern High School, and the City of Medicine Academy. Recipients will be selected based on academic merit, financial need, and an outstanding motivation for higher education success.

An annual scholarship awarded to a student at Jordan Matthews High School in Siler City.
