A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a senior varsity cross country or track athlete at East Chapel Hill High School or Chapel Hill High School who has demonstrated the qualities of academic excellence, leadership, team spirit and dedication to running and who will be pursuing higher education after high school.
- Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship
A scholarship created to provide immigrant or first generation students who attended a Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools district high school that have overcome significant adversity the opportunity to pursue their dreams and improve their lives through education or training.
- George and Mary Newton Scholarship
A scholarship for young persons who have received or are expecting a high school degree or equivalent and whose parent or legal guardian is an employee of Newton Instrument Company in Butner, NC.
- George H. Hitchings New Investigator Award in Health Research
Available for second year doctoral students at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Gertrude B. Elion Mentored Medical Student Research Award
Available for female medical students conducting research at Duke University Medical Center or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.
- GlaxoSmithKline Opportunity Scholarship
Provides scholarship assistance to residents of Durham, Orange, or Wake Counties, who have overcome significant adversity.
- Hillside Class of ‘66 Alumni Scholarship
A scholarship created by the Alumni Class of 1966 to support a graduating high school senior from Hillside High School in Durham.
- Kassel Smit Make A Difference Scholarship
A scholarship for students graduating from Cary High School who plan to attend a two or four year college or university.
- Kate Parks Kitchin Scholarship
A scholarship for graduates of Rocky Mount High School, established by the class of 1942.

The Native American Health Education Fund provides financial aid to Native Americans who are pursuing careers in health related fields.
- Needham Broughton High School Alumni Association Scholarship
Available for graduating seniors from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC.
- North Carolina Hispanic College Fund
Provides scholarships annually to recent graduates of North Carolina high schools who are of Hispanic/Latino background.
- North Carolina Jaycees Five Outstanding Teenagers Scholarship
A scholarship for North Carolina high school seniors who are well rounded in the areas of scholarship, leadership, and community service.
- Ruby Ennis Maynard Scholarship
A scholarship for women from Onslow county, NC who have been out of the workforce and are returning to school in order to advance their education or work skills.
- Shaver-Hitchings Scholarship
A scholarship available to any graduate student, physician’s assistant, or medical student in the Triangle area who has worked (preferably as a volunteer) to help others with alcoholism, drug abuse and addictive disorder treatment or with preventive education on the subject of addiction
- Stacy Guess Outstanding Musician Scholarship
