Achievement Academy of Durham

Each Friday, Triangle Community Foundation makes grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government entities and faith-based groups throughout the Triangle and beyond. During the 2008 - 2009 fiscal year, we made nearly 3,000 grants totaling $15 million.

Grants are made from over 740 charitable funds administered by the Foundation. Most of the grants that we make come from donor-advised funds.

Our Community Grantmaking Program is an open, competitive, discretionary process, through which we provide funding to Triangle-based nonprofits with annual budgets of less than $750,000 to support initiatives promoting Civic Engagement and Youth Leadership & Development.

Other competitive funding opportunities include Biogen Idec Foundation, Borchardt Fund, Lenovo Hope Fund, and the GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Awards.
