Funding for Individuals

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, approximately $655,000 was awarded to support individuals during the 2012-2013 academic year through funds at Triangle Community Foundation.

The Foundation currently administers 50 endowed and non-endowed scholarship and award funds established by individual donors and organizations. Each scholarship and award has a unique set of eligibility criteria, application processes, and deadlines. TCF staff assists each selection committee with promotion and application inquiries, due diligence, and distribution of awards.

Donors can support individual growth through educational opportunities or by recognition of success in a particular discipline. The Foundation offers several options for scholarships and awards:

Scholarships provide financial assistance to individuals seeking to improve themselves by furthering their education at a primary or secondary school, a public or private college or university, a technical college or trade school.

Individual achievement awards recognize the success of individuals in the fields of art, literature, education, science, public or community service, or civic achievement.

Awards to achieve a specific objective allow the recipient to further a particular charitable project, such as awards to teachers to develop new curricula.
