An annual award granted to a graduating student from Broughton High School, Raleigh NC who are interested and/or talented in creative writing.

Criteria

-Graduating high school senior from Needham Broughton High School, Raleigh, NC
- Submission of short story
-No limitation on course of study
-No limitation on having taken or participated in a creative writing course
-Open to all graduating high school seniors at Needham Broughton

Amount

$1,500 - awarded directly to student for excellence in writing
