Jessica works with local business leaders and entrepreneurs to help them invest significant resources in the community. Her role at the Foundation is to connect them with community needs, nonprofit partners, and tools that result in strategic and meaningful giving programs for their businesses.
Jessica has extensive experience working with the business community. She began her career at the Richmond Symphony and then became the Director of Sponsorship for the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in Greater Washington DC. Prior to joining TCF, she worked in corporate and foundation relations at NC State University and in economic and workforce development research at Regional Technology Strategies.
Jessica is an active volunteer in the community. She serves on the boards of the Wilkins Corporation and the Chapel Hill Cooperative Preschool and is a member of the NC Corporate Funders Network. Each year she also volunteers in the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government’s Assessment Center for MPA students, and she recently joined Leadership Triangle College Edition as a mentor for local college students. Jessica has previously been a board member for the UVA Club of the Triangle and several arts organizations, and she assisted with leadership transition at the Orange County Rape Crisis Center in 2007. In her free time, she enjoys playing her violin, riding horses, and visiting local farmers’ markets.
Jessica holds a masters degree in public administration from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government and a bachelor of arts from the University of Virginia.
