Jessica is the director of development and community partnerships for Triangle Community Foundation. In this role, she is responsible for developing relationships with prospective donors who want to make a difference through community based philanthropy. She is also responsible for partnering with local institutional funders to focus collectively on pressing needs in the Triangle region.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2007, Jessica worked for several nonprofits in North Carolina and Virginia. At Regional Technology Strategies, she was a research analyst in economic and workforce development for clients in North Carolina, Arkansas, Louisiana and Montana. She also has extensive fundraising experience working on annual, endowment and capital campaigns ranging from $500,000 to $1 Billion. She served as Assistant Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations at NC State University, Director of Sponsorship for the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts in Greater Washington DC, and Associate Director for Development at the Richmond Symphony.
Jessica’s community involvement includes serving on the Wilkins Corporation Board of Directors, chairing the Chapel Hill Cooperative Preschool Board and the NC Corporate Funders Network, and serving as board secretary for the NC Center for Women in Public Service. She also mentors through the UNC School of Government’s Assessment Center for MPA students and Leadership Triangle College Edition for undergraduate students.
Jessica holds a masters degree in public administration from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Government and a bachelor of arts from the University of Virginia. She is a recipient of the Triangle Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and Business Leader Magazine’s 2011 Women Extraordinaire Award, and she is a Leadership Triangle Goodmon Fellow. She and her husband David live in Chapel Hill and are the proud parents of two children, Amelia and Banks.
