Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

How is Triangle Community Foundation governed?

Answer:

The Foundation is governed by a Board of approximately 20 leading citizens, elected by the Board under recommendations by a Board Nominating and Governance Committee chosen annually by the Foundation’s President.

The Foundation also benefits from the expertise of the Foundation Leadership Council. This advisory council is comprised of long-time supporters, most of them former Board chairs, who have elected to continue their service to the Foundation. The Leadership Council was created in 1994, the Foundation’s tenth anniversary year, to extend the Foundation’s outreach to the community, enhance the Foundation’s asset development capacity, and to draw upon the knowledge, abilities and experience of key supporters of the Foundation.
