Triangle Community Foundation’s position and purpose in the community is unique and we are engaged in a variety of efforts throughout the region. Approximately two-thirds of all grants made by the Foundation stay in the Triangle. Grants are also made to nonprofits across the state, nation and beyond, reflecting our close connection to the rest of the world.

The Foundation utilizes our unrestricted dollars to have a regional impact through a variety of programs including:
Triangle Gives Back strives to demystify philanthropy and inspire more people to give in more ways.
Established in 2007, this competitive program focuses on supporting youth leadership and civic engagement. A committee of fundholders makes up the review process and members of this committee, other generous fundholders and at-large community members contribute to the CGP Fund to help the Foundation provide support to nonprofit organizations working to make our region strong.
This signature program of the Foundation gives disadvantaged children from around the Triangle a summer experience to remember. Since the program began in 1984, over $1.9 million has been raised to help more than 6,000 disadvantaged children attend summer camps.
